Login displayed on closed Macbook screen

Hello,

I am using my Macbook with the screen closed down on its keyboard and an external screen and keyboard to drive the Mac. I did put the Mac to sleep but when I did wake up the Mac I had no login dialog on my external screen. I opened the Mac and I discovered the login screen was in fact displayed on the screen of the Macbook.

Hi JeanMeslier,

I understand that the login screen doesn't display on your external display when using closed display mode. I would recommend making sure that your MacBook is connected to a power source when this happens as this is the usual cause. I would also take a look at the articles below for more information on using external displays with a Mac.
